Daniel is, for the first time since Charlotte's arrival, away from her on a day that does not include his classes or office hours. She's showing enough signs of improvement that he feels comfortable with not watching her like a hawk, and he's gotten enough annoyed, threatening glances from the doctors on duty in the infirmary to know that they want ( Read more... )

Ben never held a child's fascination with animals, zoos. He adored the rabbits on the Island, even kept one as a pet, but unlike his peers never looked forward to ferrying from the main island to the smaller one where the Hydra was located.
